Helen has a background in mathematics and worked for many years as a lecturer.
Helen trained with the Association of Stress Management, which incorporated the Institute for Hypnosis and Parapsychology. In 1995 she gained a Diploma in Stress Management, and a Diploma in Hypnosis. She began working as a hypnotherapist in private practice, whilst continuing part-time work as a mathematics lecturer, and running a home.
She added Reiki I and II to her healing work in the late nineties, and trained as a kinesiologist in 2003-4.
By the end of the nineties Helen had also joined the newly formed Hypnotherapy Association, and became a member of the management committee in 2005. In 2008, she became the HA representative on the UKCHO committee, which was instrumental in leading the profession into voluntary self-regulation through the CNHC, protecting the general public and upholding standards.
Helen opened a holistic centre, and it ran from September 2005 for 9 years. She was, at this time, also training in Shamanic work.
In 2009 she qualified as a hypnotherapy supervisor, and in 2010 she began training hypnotherapists as part of the Cambridge College. She also became a Reiki master and has run many courses at levels I and II. She became interested in flower essences, having always had an interest in homeopathy. She uses Bach flower remedies and Bach music essences in her work.
Recently her interests have centred on plant consciousness, soundwork and dance. She has travelled to Peru and Bolivia, Romania and Portugal and here in the UK in Devon, Dorset and Somerset, to learn more.
